The Hotel Montalembert has long been an historic landmark on the Left Bank of Paris. Built in 1926 as a 4 star hotel, it is situated on the rue de Montalembert, just off the rue de Bac and the Boulevard St-Germain, and is named after Charles Forbes Montalembert (1810-1870) the French politician, writer and member of the prestigious Academie Francaise. From its inception, the Montalembert has been a favorite retreat for writers and artists; today the Hotel continues to attract some of the most famous and prestigious names from around the world. In 1989, the hotel was purchased by Grace Leo-Andrieu, a daughter of the well-known Hong Kong hotel family, and her French husband Stephane Andrieu, who undertook the meticulous refurbishing of the hotel's 51 rooms and 5 suites.

 The Hotel Montalembert has 51 rooms and 5 suites. Each mixes the contemporary and modern, but all have an unpretentious sense of informal elegance and comfort found only in the world's finest hotels. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the fine embroidered linens by Frette to the carefully chosen selection of videos for each room's VCR. The hotel's state-of-the-art bathrooms will delight the most demanding bathroom aficionado: fabulous deep tubs, Cascais marble floors, and tall pivoting mirrors.

Handmade soaps and thick, blue-trimmed white bathrobes and towels complete a picture of total luxury. To appeal to all our guests, the Hotel Montalembert has designed two distinct styles of accommodation.

Our standard & Superior rooms are modest in size, and for a stay of 2 nights or more we advise you to book a more spacious Deluxe room. Both Standard & Superior rooms are contemporary Style, with a double bed, & with either a bath or a shower. These rooms cannot accommodate an extra bed. so thes rooms are for a maximum of 2 persons. (size of room: 15m² & 18m²). Our Deluxe rooms are looking out on the “rue de Montalembert”. These rooms are either in a Contemporary style with a queen size bed or in a Louis Philippe style with twin bed (2 single beds), or queen size or king size bed (size of room: 22m²). They have a bath. We can add an extra bed in this room. Maximum 3 persons.

Our Junior and One Bedroom suites are Contemporary Style, front facing, with a queen size bed in the bedroom, a separate bathroom and toilet. The salon/living area has a comfortable sitting area with writing desk and sofa. Our suites are very bright due to its large windows in every room (room size: 40m²). We can do the sofa bed & add an extra bed in the living room. Maximum 4 persons.

The Montalembert has also the possibility of offering you the Traditional One Bedroom suite in Louis Philippe style, with either a king or twin bed (room size: 40m²). We can do the sofa bed & add an extra bed in the living. Maximum 4 persons.
